Greatest thing?!
I've always sent letters to Opt Out to get rid of unwanted mail. This has been extremely successful for years, until we moved a little over a year ago. I continued the practice for a while, but with postage increases, it became a bit too expensive.
Last Friday night, I heard a half-hour interview on KET of someone representing Catalog Choice company (?)
He said in order to cancel catalog(s) online, tear off the back page (label), and save in a stack until you have time to cancel catalogs online. He then said, "When you're ready to cancel unwanted catalogs, go to:
www.catalogchoice.org "
This is so great! (Obviously it doesn't take a whole lot to make me happy.) There's a page (profile) where you select catalog(s) from A - Z. On the page where you choose to cancel, you can even change the way you name appears on the label. You must enter the Customer Number, so your label can be identified. (It will accept your request, if no Catalog Number available, also.)
I recently signed up for a JoAnn Fabric catalog, where I was promised by the sales lady that if I checked a certain block, other catalogs would not be coming. She was W R O N G ! ! ! (Perhaps a lady in India entered it incorrectly.) The other day I received three, and today, three more.
I've just had a great time Denying, Denying, and Denying. Ah, life in this wonderful timesaving technology!!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, y'all!
