Camping Trip: Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Big Sur, California

This was the best camping trip we have ever been on. We're there from Sept. 2 to 5. Big Sur drive presents one of the most dramatic coasts in California, winding 26 miles between Carmel and Big Sur. The campsites were wooded, gigantic coastal redwoods, some up to 27-feet around; make this a shady, restful and spacious place. There's nothing like a redwood forest to put you in size perspective. The restrooms were clean and nearby. There are lots of hiking trails in the 810-acre park and waterfalls. The Big Sur River runs through the campground-giving campers swimming holes and opportunities for tubing. The campground has Wi Fi, restaurant, laundry facilities and a small store with phone. The surroundings are so beautiful, both inside the campground and outside at the beaches. The park is really awesome!

Grandma "Shirley Bowman" is in Tahoe

The kids are so excited, they went to bed early night before moms' arrival. They don't want to be late going to the airport. She stays in one of the place that is close to us from August 24 to September 2, 2005. The kids are excited everyday to open the door and say... "Good morning, grandma" and Rachel cried its time Grandma need to go to her room and rest. Rachel even started to call her Carla, it’s so cute. The kids always want Grandmas' attention. They enjoyed listening to Grandma reading the books, showing her play in the computer, ride all the toys outside, sing with her and play the piano (toy). I am so happy watching them, enjoying grandmas’ visit. It's hard to find that kind of excitement in the kids although Robby's kind of cranky almost everyday. He thinks, he can get anything he wants since grandma's here :-) In our excitement, we did not do a lot of stuff together. I feel so bad that we only went to few places when she's here. I just hope that she visit us again. She doesn't like to travel now. I missed her.... she's the best mother-in-law. How I wish, she can just stay with us forever.
