We teach our children by what we are and do
Today as hubby's relaxing on the coach and the kids watching video on the computer, as usual I gave hubby a hug and a few sweet kisses. Robby and Rachel smiled. They then gave me and hubby a huge kiss. We are always very affectionate towards each other and to our kids, but I had never realized how much the kids noticed.
I had noticed them becoming attached to each other and how they protect and love each other. They love doing things together (playing dolls/cars/computer games, watching movies together, sharing food/toys, even doing silly things like cutting each other’s hair, dressing up, composing jokes/song and a lot more. They kiss and hug before they go to sleep, after Robby got home from school and if one of them got hurt or cry. They are also proud of each other. I remember Robby begging me to visit him at the school so he can introduce his sister to everybody at the school and tell them about his sister. They also protect each other even from mommy when they do something wrong.
It pleased me so much that they are learning love. I know that they will be secure enough in our love not to be desperate for love from someone else. I pray that we may teach them the love we have for them comes from God and pales in comparison to the love God has for them.
They are growing up so fast! I love them so much and pray we raise them well.
